Hotspells Rocks and Minerals

This is definitely the coolest shop in LA and the owner Christian is super friendly!

"Rock shop" sells it short - think more "boutique rock, mineral, and fossil museum" (though you can indeed buy rocks if that's your thing). It's a great place, and one of my go-to spots to take visiting friends and family -- Christian (the owner) is very knowledgeable and always excited to talk, I learn something new every time.

On a recent visit to Hot Spells and Frog Town along the LA river I was pleased and happy to discover so many assorted and beautiful stones from all over the world! I picked up a beautiful oval piece from Australia that I’m going to have made into a pendant if you find yourself in allegiant Valley you simply have to stop by Trust me you’re going to love it!

There’s something so rare and special about someone with a unique interest choosing to share it with the community. Christian’s space is gorgeous and thoughtfully designed, and the rocks and minerals inside are a sight to behold. Thank you Christian for sharing your knowledge and passion!! Can’t wait to see what’s next for hotspells!

This is such a special place. I felt so happy seeing all the crystals and rocks displayed in the refined manner that they are here. You really can see all their details so well this way. Plus the owner is just the friendliest and informative! You can tell he is so passionate about what he does.
