The Fossil Cartel

Just received my moldavite pendant in the mail. Have never been to this shop but judging by the shipping speed and the care put into packaging, I can tell this is an awesome shop. The pendant came in a nice little box with a business card with a nice little handwritten thank you. I can tell effort and passion was put into my order! Thank you fossil cartel! I’ll probably have to spend more money now!!

I wanted to come visit this shop when I lived in Portland and never had the chance, but finally on a visit I was able to drop in and I was SO impressed!! I grew up rockhounding so I’m pretty tuned into fair pricing for minerals, and I was blown away at how affordable everything is here. Amazing selection and all very fairly priced, I especially loved all the fossil jewelry. One of the other huge plus of this shop was the shopkeepers. They were SO so helpful and kind, which I really appreciated! They made sure we could look at anything we wanted to, and when my father in law expressed interest in some trilobite rings, they took the time to help him find exactly what he was looking for. Shops like Fossil Cartel are the type of spaces that make me miss Portland, I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town, thank you all ??

Well, it’s a cool store in downtown Portland, the bubble machine in the front door is fun. Many cool rocks in this store but not so amazed by the quality of the items, all seem like quantity over quality.

Great shop in downtown Portland. We have a massive curated mineral collection and this store helped us to add maybe ten more pieces. The staff was super helpful and sweet. We missed their 36th year anniversary (we were there four days early) and hope they have another 36 years of success! We’ll definitely stop by if we are back in Portland - I think we have rewards to use!
